History of BMO Harris Bank
BMO Harris Bank, N.A. is a bank headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. It is a member of the Federal Reserve System and operates branches in the states of Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin. The bank is headquartered in the Harris Bank Center in the Loop district of downtown Chicago.
The bank was founded in 1882 as the Harris Trust and Savings Bank. In 1984, the bank acquired American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago. In 1985, the bank acquired The First National Bank of Mount Prospect. In 1999, the bank acquired Milwaukee-based Bank of Montreal’s U.S. operations, which included the Harris Bank and Harris Trust and Savings Bank brands in the Chicago area and the Milwaukee-based M&I Marshall & Ilsley Bank. In 2012, BMO Financial Group completed the purchase of Milwaukee-based Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (M&I), which was integrated with Harris.
According to Wikipedia, David R. Casper was appointed CEO of BMO Harris Bank on June 1, 2015. And in 2016, the employees of this bank were 14,200.
